How Old is Your Heart?
A lot of Americans’ tickers are aging faster than they are
Chances are your heart’s older than you.
A study recently published in a medical journal concluded that the hearts of 138 million Americans have aged beyond their chronological years.
Men’s hearts averaged seven years older, while women’s hearts came in at four years older. Certain groups’ hearts were much worse off.
Substack colleague Dr. Joseph Mercola brought me this news in one of his articles. He also gives excellent advice about how to reverse accelerated heart aging.
I cannot argue with any of it, except to say it is incomplete. Physical factors like poor diet or lack of exercise are the how of prematurely aging hearts.
Why ≠ How
Today I write about the why. How and why are not the same at all. Not from a wider realities perspective.
Why is rooted in the energy of consciousness that surrounds the physical body and from which the physical body arises.
(By the way, the physical body is not some dumb biological machine subject to the effects of nature and human actions. The physical body has its own intelligence and, when properly supported, can heal without pills, surgery, or other medical interventions.)
The physical body anchors us into this physical reality. It also faithfully shows us what is going on in our other three parts of self. The nonphysical mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
A prematurely aging heart accurately reflects the pernicious effect of self-judgment and especially vows. All of these are decisions about self and our experiences that we made in this and many other lives.
A vow is a self-judgment hooked to a denial. Vows and self-judgments become stuck in the emotional body’s magnetic energy.
Self-judgments can land in any chakra. Vows, however, invariably lodge in the heart chakra, and are far more harmful to our well-being than self-judgment alone.
Walking Self-Judgments and Vows
All of us are walking around under the influences of goodness knows how many vows (and self-judgments) made over how many lifetimes. Vows undermine the integrity of our energetic hearts, making it possible for the hows in this physical reality to injure and age our physical hearts.
Most of us take the route of pursuing only the physical causes of prematurely aging hearts. Because we do not include nonphysical origins of physical ill health, we spend a lot more time, effort, and money than necessary.
And we also suffer at every level of our being. Needlessly. Our unconditionally loving Creator never decreed that we suffer. We have inflicted immense pain on ourselves—unknowingly and undeservedly.
The only question is when. When will we start looking for and resolving the whys instead of endlessly pursuing the hows and getting mixed results at best.
If we go that road less travelled, we find and resolve self-judgments and vows. And with every one we release from our total being, we become just that much freer and healthier at every level of self.
